DLL Not Found? Here’s How to Fix it and Make Your Computer Faster Than Ever!
If your computer is crashing every single time you load a program and is giving error messages such as “DLL not found”, then you’re reading the right article! By the end of the article, you’ll know exactly what to do to fix these issues and make you computer much faster than it is right now.
You have two options. You can do it manually and it might take a bit longer, and isn′t as sure. Or you can get a Registry cleaner and fix those invalid entries and do a lot more work within a couple of clicks.
First, let’s talk about how to do it manually -
Before we do anything, we must make a backup of the current data and store it in safe locations. We can never be too sure with technology, especially when we’re not tech savvy. To create a backup file, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Backup. Also, create a System Restore point from System Tools itself.
Now, we’re ready to roll. Here we go -
First, run the following checks in order:
· Check your computer for a virus with a competent antivirus; some good ones are Norton, Kaspersky etc.
· Run a spyware check; a good spyware checker is Spyware Doctor.
· Run the chkdsk from system command.
Once you’ve done all that, delete any viruses/spyware/truncated files etc you stumble upon. After that, let’s clean up some space and delete some unwanted programs.
First, go to Control Panel > Programs and Features and uninstall those which are of no use to you. Then, go to My Computer, right click on each drive one by once and run a drive clean up.
Reboot your computer. Your computer should be a bit faster now.
Now, let’s disable unwanted programs and services from startup.
To do so, Click on Start, then Run and type “msconfig” without quotes. Hit Enter. A new box appears, select the “Startup” tab from it and carefully review which programs you don’t need to load at startup. Uncheck those. Then, select the "Services” tab, check “Hide all Microsoft services” and hit Apply. Reboot your computer and it should be a much faster now without any of those registry errors or the Dll found errors.
