Error message – inetppui32.dll file is not a valid Windows image

Just started to happen after years of use. Every xxx.exe file the computer or I try to load I get this error message “xxx.exe- Bad Image  The application or DLL C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32intppui32.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.″
When I click on OK the the file loads normally. The problem is, I have to do this about 50 times during boot-up. What does it mean ” Please check this against your installation diskette”? How is this done?How dooes one go about fixing this problem? Thanks
